H Sections

Steel H-Piles sections are installed in much the same manner as precast concrete piles.
Shaft stresses range from 120 MPa to 160 MPa depending on the grade of steel used with working loads varying between 500 kN to 3 200 kN. Piles are installed by means of a drop hammer and once the first section has been driven, further sections are joined by means of welding. This process is continued until the piles are driven to refusal or the predetermined set is obtained.
